| Festival Description |
Strategically held on the island of Tobago during the Summer month of August, this 3 day festival will showcase an abundance of music from Rap, R&B, Hip-Hop, Pop, Reggae, Calypso, SOCA as well as products / merchandise from our sponsors to a typically hard to reach market. Tropical Heat Music Festival guarantees a preview into the fascinating festive culture of the Southern Caribbean Islands of Trinidad & Tobago. The Tropical Heat Music Festival’s main event will take place August 28, 2010 at Pigeon Point, Tobago (capacity 10k+), immediately following the Grate Carib Boat Race After Party. Gates will open at 10PM and will carry on till the early morning hours. Geared towards entertaining the additional 8,000+ people who flock to the island of Tobago each year for the Great Race and are typically stuck with nothing to do afterward (air bus & ferries off the island shut down at 5pm), they will now be able to continue the party / festivities. This event is designed to become a recurring annual event that began preparation in early 2009. This event has the potential to entertain some 100,000+ spectators and consumers of all ages, both physically and via live internet streaming. In addition to the main music event the weekend will also include other activities including but not limited to, themed parties, contest, product sampling, boat racing, local culture and more. Please see the event Itinerary for additional details. |
